Cognitive Science Center Amsterdam (CSCA) Symposium

On 26 October, the Cognitive Science Center Amsterdam will hold a Symposium to celebrate its 10th anniversary. In the morning, we will look back at research and education in the field of brain and cognitive science over the past years, but also share our views on the future of the CSCA. The afternoon will be centered around the ‘creatieve geest prijs’ (creative mind prize), an initiative of the Freek and Hella de Jonge foundation.

CSCA Symposium 'Impulsivity and Inhibition'

The CSCA Symposium on Impulsivity and Inhibition will be held on June 30 and July 1, 2011. This Symposium can be attended separately from the CSCA Summer School 'To Head or to Heed? Cross-Disciplinary Approaches to Impulsivity and the Inhibition of Thought and Action'.

Internationally renowned researchers will present their most recent work during the CSCA (Cognitive Science Center of the University of Amsterdam) Symposium on Neuroeconomics on June 18, 2010.

Symposium ‘Cognition, the brain, and atypical development’

On January 7, 2010, the Cognitive Science Center Amsterdam will hold the symposium 'Cognition, the Brain, and Atypical Development' to celebrate the honorary doctorate of Professor Annette Karmiloff-Smith.

CSCA Symposium Language: Acquisition, processing and disorders

Studies of acquisition, disorders, and processing of language generate different types of linguistic evidence that each may provide insight into the organization of the human linguistic competence and its relation to cognition.

CSCA Lustrum Symposium

The Cognitive Science Center Amsterdam celebrates its first lustrum. Three CSCA VICI laureates will present findings that emerged from their research. Cyriel Pennartz is working in Cognitive Neuroscience, Richard Ridderinkhof in Cognitive Psychology and Rens Bod in Cognitive System. Together they cover the broad domain of the Brain and Cognitive Sciences.
